We are happy to announce that our first training on Effective Fundraising and Proposal Writing successfully took place online from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th of March 2023!
During the 3-day training workshop, proposal writing trainer Poppy Hardee took trainees through the intricacies of proposal writing, how to search and network with donors and the steps to create a concept note. Our trainees engaged in interactive exercises and case studies, providing them with valuable insights into the unique requirements and characteristics of different types of funders. They learned how to tailor proposals to match the needs of potential funders, build relationships with funders, and effectively communicate throughout the proposal process.
Participants also examined how to develop effective concept notes, including what should or should not be included, and how to avoid common mistakes, gaining expertise on how to effectively communicate their project’s objectives and goals.
Our 3-day training saw 20 countries represented and 11 international non-governmental organizations gathering online. Many thanks to our phenomenal trainers for facilitating great discussions and the exceptional participants who were equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively fundraise for humanitarian and development projects.

We have a new course in May in Erbil, Iraq.
Trust Consultancy and Development (trustconsultancy.org) and RoadMap خارطة الطريق (rmdata360.com) are thrilled to announce our upcoming in-person training on “Effective Fundraising and Proposal Writing” to be held in Erbil, Iraq on 02-04 May 2023. This course is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively fundraise for humanitarian and development projects. Throughout the three-day training, participants will learn how to look for funds, register with donors, and create a pipeline of potential donors.
We will also cover donor due diligence, which includes the organizational information required by donors to apply for funds. In addition, the course will provide participants with practical examples and tips for preparing an effective concept note and proposal, including the main information required, format, and writing hints. This training is a great opportunity for development and humanitarian workers, non-profit organizations, and anyone looking to improve their fundraising and proposal writing skills. The registration deadline for this training is 16 April. We plan to host guests from international NGOs to highlight good practices for writing good concept notes and grants proposals and to provide participants with tips for successful/ winning proposals.
